Sales Booster: How to send eBay offers to watchers

Not too long ago eBay introduced a new feature that sellers can use on any of their Fixed Price listings to maximize on sales. This new feature allows sellers to send an offer to buyers that are currently watching your product. 

In previous years, eBay was pretty strict on reaching out to buyers with any custom offers. Now eBay sellers have the chance to send a custom offer to anyone that added your iteam to eBay’s watch list. This means, if you have 10 people watching your item, you can with a few clicks send a custom offer to all 10 buyers. 

eBay Offers Rules: 

Before we get into exactly how you can send a custom offer to your eBay watches, let’s take a look at the rules.

1. You can send offers for auctions that are fixed price and buy it now listings only.
2. You can only send one offer to the same buyer. 
3. Only listings that are older than 10 days will be enabled for this new feature. 
4. Since this is an offer feature, you must discount your product from the original listing price, even if it is 1% or 50%.
5. You can only send an offer to a maximum of 10 watchers. 
6. You cannot withdraw your offer, once it has been send.

How to send eBay offers to watchers on your desktop 

1. Go to your Active eBay Listings
2. Click on the Send Offers button, this only show listings that are eligible
3. Click on the item you want to use the Send Offers feature
4. Enter the amount (per item), please note you have to discount at least 5%.
5. Additionally you can also allow buyers to send you a counteroffer
6. Include a nice message honoring that you are giving a discount.
7. Press Send Offer

How to send eBay offers to watchers on the eBay App

1. Open your eBay App and navigate to the Selling tab
2. Click on the “Send offer” button 
3. Enter the amount (per item), please note you have to discount at least 5%.
4. Include a nice message honoring that you are giving a discount.
5. Review & Press Send Offer

What message to use?

Most eBay sellers don’t include a message when they send out a offer to a buyer. This is the chance to stand out for you and make your buyer feel a bit special. Include a message that honores that he / she is interested and you are willing to grant a special discount for a short time.

How much of a discount should I offer?

The short answer is, it's totally up to you. But if you are selling an item that is new and has a higher price to justify 3minutes of research. You could search for the same item on ebay to see what other sellers are selling it for. This will help you to identify a price that is fair but will also help you sell your product.
